July Release!!!

Beansprout Pillows....Coming Soon!

Since Hailey, my cherubic niece, was born, my sister and I are inspired by these beansprout pillows for babes.  What are they?  Simple.  They are pillows filled with bean sprout husks used for newborn babies/infants. This method of making pillow has been over a century, as far as our great grand parents can remember. These bean sprout husks are the "shell" (kernel) from the bean sprout we bought for our cooking. With proper handling and sorting, they are recycled for better usage.

Newborn babies/infants are prone to be shocked or frightened by sudden movement and noise caused in their surrounding. 

By placing the bean sprout pillow horizontally over the infant/baby’s tummy when they are asleep, they will have a sense of security and comfort. This pillow will serve to calm the newborn babies/infants. As the bean sprout husks are porous and light weighted, they are safe for use on newborn babies/infants.

They will come in various sizes, but the standard size we are doing at the moment is 45 cm x 15 cm and filled with 220g of kernels.

Back To Me....

The last week has been a sewing frenzy for me trying to finish up our Buttons & Bows July release.  They are almost done now, just adding up the little fabric florets on some of the clothes.  Got myself some leftover fabric from the line, so I decided to reward myself with a dress...inspired by that cute lady I saw at Kat and Kym's birthday brunch @ Fullerton -Town a few weeks ago!  I'm happy with the way it turned out.  Here it is...

One Harvest At A Time...

Buttons & Bows sales is doing very well at The Nest Shop and I'm thrilled!  We have just delivered new designs and they are just another reason why I love doing what I'm passionate about: baby clothes with a dash of chic and a whole lot of comfy factor!

I am looking to add a line for girls aged 4-6 years old as I'm faced with more demands for this age group from my friends.  My concept for this line will be similar to Buttons & Bows: Chic and comfy.  I am keen to incorporate a design where these toddlers can wear what we adults wear in a mini-me version!  Look out for it!

Lil' Hailey... My Muse!

The new Mon Petit Bebe skirt is inspired by my muse of the moment, littlest Hailey!  Made from the softest tulle in the most irresistable shade of blush pink....I am so happy with this piece!  It will be in our stockist (The Nest Shop and Sylvia's Secrets @ Turf City) stores in June 09!

Our previous Summer Collection was a hit!  Where? In Ireland... yep, all the way there!  Yipeee! Here's some pics from my dedicated customer Joyce, whose 2 beautiful, cherubic daughters have done me a great favour to model in them!  Tres fabulous!

A Little Me-Time!

Phew!  All work and no play makes Grace a dull girl... I've been wanting to sew a maxi dress for so long and I finally got it done!  Very happy with the fit and of course the gorgeous leopard print doesn't hurt either!  It's a comfy polyester/cotton fabric and with the searing weather here in Bali, I'm greatful that this material is airy enough for dedicated ventilation...

April New Release!

This is the newest release for April release!  So excited!  This season, I'm definitely going into lots of pretty and sweet pastel fabrics and motifs....

Hailey's Christening Gown

Phew!  Just finished my niece's christening gown!  This one took me about 2 days to complete the gown and I am happy with it!  

She's still a tiny 6-day old babe but I'm sure she'll fit into the gown very very soon! She's so adorable and she seems to have this beautiful cherubic permanent smile on her face whenever she sleeps!

One Stitch At A Time....

Wow, it's been a long time since the last post!  Have been super busy but happy busy so its been great...  First, my sister has given birth to beautiful Haylie Sarah Limin!  She's a gem!  I'm making her christening gown and hope mum loves it......

With the current situation such as unrealiable manufacturers to produce my line, I have to undertake the task myself.  That means from designing to pattern drafting to cutting and sewing the garments with my two full hands!  Not that I am complaining, it just means that I have very little time to post blogs about my new creations which means

 (trust me, this thought has been nagging forever in my fuzzy head for months now!) I have no way to promote and market these beautiful garments!  Grrr!

Two wonderful progress things have come out of all this.  My friend Sylvia of Sylvia's Secrets have graciously taken in some of my product for consignment in her beautiful and serene spa in Turf City!  These are some of the products that are currently in her store... go check it out!

Another is, Joyce from Ireland bought the Lil' Tots Collection to sell in Ireland!!! Wow!   

This is the latest designs for our next release..... 

The Bianca Top, also in size 2T and 4T.  It reminds me of the 70s halter that I would wear with bell bottom jeans!  I'm designing a wide leg pants to go with this cute top...

The LIl' Tees n Skirt collection is of course 100% handmade by moi as with all the others I have done so far...  It has a cute little Westie appliqued on the tee!  It's been a joy to sew these!  They come in size 2T and 4T.  Sizing is based on the child's height.  I will post a size chart in my next blog, God speed I hope!
